my first (and probably ONLY) attempt at watercolor painting.

i was a sit-in at painting from life and our dear professor encouraged me to do my own works along with them.

i remember how i started on this painting: she lent me her (Prang) watercolor and brush and i began painting based on primal instincts (hehe).

it would take me about four months and a whole semester to actually finish the thing.

if it weren't for the deadline we had to meet for our group exhibit under the same subject, i wouldn't dare touch and finish this---i'm no master painter for pete's sake! seriously!

so, i picked up the brush and watercolor (my own this time), and finished where i left of.

and voila! you're looking at my very first watercolor painting, and ergo my first entry to DA in that category.

this photo of the actual artwork looks dusty and muddy, sorry for that. i took this photo after i framed the work so reflections became a dead-serious issue here. and if you look closely, right smack in the middle of the painting, you'll see a reflection of my camera---hehe. i guess i'll be needing my giclee print soon!!! hehe *wishful thinking*

and if you're asking why it's pink, well, the reference photo came from ~Raffy-Kun that fateful day i was thrown into sophomore painting pit. haha. so, i had no say on the issue of flower color. oh, and do check out my best bud's own flower creation here and ~winRie 's own flower workhere and ~elevensorrows 's yellow rose here
